We, the Borghese family, are excited to announce we will be transitioning Fine Feather's operations over to The Pet Store Next Door in Glen Head, NY effective this Monday July 5, 2021. After careful consideration, we could not be happier to hand over our operations to another trusted family-owned business who will continue to sell Dennis’s prominent bird blends and carry on his legacy. You will be able to acquire Fine Feather bird food from the Krasnoff Family at The Pet Store Next Door, as well as have it shipped and delivered right to your door. As some may know, Dr. Jeffrey Krasnoff, from the Brookville Animal Hospital, has been a close and loyal friend to Dennis and the family for many years. His daughter Jamie, who owns The Pet Store Next Store, has already been selling a couple of our blends in her store for some time now. She is thrilled to take on the rest from us so our customers can continue to purchase their favorite mixes.  

As we look to make this transition as seamless as possible here are a few changes you can expect:

• Effective July 5, 2021 if you traditionally place your orders over the phone please call 516-801-6400.
• You will now be able to conveniently pick up your items at The Pet Store Next Door during their normal business hours.
• Sales taxes will no longer be included in item prices. As the cost of supplies continue to rise, especially due to supply chain disruptions from the Pandemic, we can no longer offer to have taxes be included in the price of our items.    

As we, the Borghese family, start the next chapter in our lives we feel so fortunate to be able to pass on our operations so it can continue and with people we trust. We thank you all for your unwavering support since 1976 when The Pet Den opened. After Dennis passed, we made the decision to try to keep it going solely for the customers and we couldn’t have done it without your loyalty, patience and kindness. We hope you extend the same sentiment to Jamie at The Pet Store Next Door. Again, you will still be able to order online at www.finefeather.us or by phone, pick up in store or have it shipped. Please expect minor delays in orders during this transition.
